Around 100 supporters of Christian Aid are expected to attend an event in Bath to listen to the charity's director talk about tackling global poverty.

Loretta Mighella will be at the all-day event Bread of Life – Enough For All, which is taking place at Manvers Street Baptist Church next Tuesday.

It will include workshops on the multi-agency campaign Enough Food for Everyone, making the most of this year's Christian Aid Week in May, as well as featuring real life stories from Kenya and Zimbabwe where the charity is working with partners to help families beat hunger.

Regional manager Nigel Quarrell said: "We are delighted to welcome Loretta to the region, particularly at this time.

"We believe we can be the generation to end hunger and our supporters are absolutely key to that.

"This event is an opportunity to thank them for all they do and at the same time equip them so they can act, pray and give most effectively."

Bread of Life will run from 10am to 5pm for the day conference, and 7.15pm to 9.15pm for the evening celebration.
