The group, which impressed audiences throughout the UK, reached the final stages of the prime-time talent show in August.
Since the show, members have been rehearsing for their annual concert, which took place on Saturday.
The concert, which has previously been held at the Guildhall, had to be moved to The Forum owing to the high demand for tickets.
Fans came from far and wide to see 80 members of the 90-strong choir perform.
More than 1,300 packed the venue to hear them sing various hits, including songs performed on the show.
The choir was set up in January 2006 by Grenville Jones.
Mr Jones said: "It was a special evening. I have had so many people telling me how good the boys sounded and they just filled up the whole stage.
"They are just sounding better and better all the time.
"The experience was quite moving for them and coming out on stage in front of more than 1,000 people is quite an experience."
Also performing was the Lifted gospel group, which is led by Jo Sercombe, and which was also a contender in the early stages of the BBC show, and Mr Jones' women's harmony group, the Stockingtops.
Rehearsals are now under way for a Christmas concert featuring all of Mr Jones' groups – including the Silver Ring Choir – on December 13 at The Forum.
Tickets are priced from £8 and are available from the Festival Box Office on 01225 463362.
