Channon set to double up at Bath Racecourse
In spite of the likely firm ground, there are plenty of runners for Thursday night's meeting at Bath Racecourse.
The only exception is in the first race but if you think this will make picking a winner easier, think again.

Mick Channon
It's difficult to oppose Mick Channon's filly Flinflyout as her last two efforts were in a group race at Ascot and a listed affair at Newmarket.
However, although she won at Bath in May, she was well down the field in those races. Hopefully this is just a confidence-builder for her as Channon doesn't usually mistake geese for swans.
Most of tonight's opposition have form too, so while Flinflyout should be a decent price, don't put the mortgage on her.
Channon looks to have another likely prospect in the Shires Famous Pies Handicap. Typically it's a sprint but his Bateleur, who won at Lansdown over this distance in June, doesn't look badly weighted and cannot normally be kicked out the frame so should deliver here.
It is difficult to oppose a horse in form and almost impossible when the trainer is on fire too. Limpley Stoke trainer Andy Haynes has a 20 per cent strike rate over the past 14 days on the flat and a 30 per cent rate over jumps.
Thus his gelding Piazza San Pietro looks the pick in the Coca Cola Claiming Stakes. A winner last time out at Chepstow in a selling race, his opposition are mostly selling class too.
The final race appears very open but David Evans' Green Lagonda was probably unlucky at Nottingham last time when well fancied, so can make amends here for his trainer.
