Caught on camera . . . Bath thief riding away on stolen bicycle
An image of a Bath thief riding away on a stolen bicycle has been released by police.
Officers have appealed for your help to trace the man seen riding the bike down George Street before he attempted to sell it less than two hours later.
The man was first spotted by a CCTV camera shortly before he went into an office at 5 Bartlett Street.
Moments later he came out with a black hybrid bike and rode off down George Street on 12.30pm on January 8.

At around 2.15pm the same man tried to the sell the bike to staff at John's Bike Shop in Walcot Street.

“Johns bikes did indeed refuse purchase, but got no details. It's hardly their fault for not stereotyping him as the bike stealing type ;)
I've pretty much given up on seeing my bike again, which is a shame as I cannot afford to buy another. It's pretty disgusting to think that I have to ensure my own bike in my own office (which is up 2 flights of stairs, behind 4 doors) against theft. I cannot understand people who think they have the right to take things that others have worked hard and saved to buy :(”
