Case for Defence is made at anniversary party
Bath Civil Defence turned back the clock to stage its 70th anniversary celebrations last weekend.
The mixed hockey club, formed during the Second World War by a group of friends while they were manning the city against the impending might of the German forces, is still going strong and comprises players from City of Bath, Team Bath Buccs and West Wilts, as well as those who enjoy a social game.

Players of all ages and abilities join up on a Sunday afternoon, with the emphasis on enjoyment.
The club's birthday party saw current and ex-players meet up for a 1942-themed dance at Bath Golf Club, with those attending donning period outfits.
