Carter celebrates with Wiltshire win
Jenny Carter's preparations for next month's Bath Half appear to be progressing steadily on the evidence of her victory in the Wiltshire ten-mile road race on Sunday.
The Team Bath AC runner finished 13th overall from a field of 202, clocking a time of 63mins 15secs in blustery, wet conditions on an undulating course.
"I felt strong in the race so I was a little disappointed when I saw my time but I think that was more due to the conditions than anything," said Carter, who was racing for the first time as a veteran over-40 after reaching the milestone the day before.
"When I compared my run to other people in my club it wasn't a bad effort."
