BATH CITY YOUTH A hat-trick from man-of-the-match Ben McM earned table-topping Bath City Youth under-11s a 4-1 away win over Holcombe.

City played up the hill in the first half against a good defence but took the lead when Bradley got behind the defence and crossed for captain Ben McM to slot home.

Holcombe drew level when a low shot beat Alex W but City's response was swift and two minutes later they regained the lead when a corner from Bradley curled into the net.

The half-time whistle followed soon afterwards and City made five substitutions, giving them the advantage of fresh legs and the slope in the second period.

City carved out a number of clear-cut chances and Pat O narrowly blazed over the bar, Jacob M was denied by brave goalkeeping and Gav R-S failed to find the right angle before Ben McM scored their third.

Holcombe refused to accept defeat but Rupert H and Max T stayed composed to keep them at bay.

Ben McM saved the goal of the match until last, producing a bullet shot on the turn to complete his treble and seal the points.

Improving Bath City Youth Colts dominated their game against Larkhall Athletic but had to settle for a 1-1 draw after a penalty was kept out by a fine save. Wilf B was named as man of the match.
