Build opposition
Peasedown St John Parish Council has voted unanimously to urge Bath and North East Somerset Council planners to reject plans to build 89 homes.
The parish council met this week to discuss housebuilder Edward Ware Homes's plans for a site off Greenlands Road, which are already opposed by a petition signed by 950 people.
The parish council says the land is unsuitable and the would have a detrimental impact on the village.

“When has urging B&NES council made any difference? Good luck to the thousand people and their parish council. If they win, it will give the rest of us some hope about democracy.”
