Buccs seize top spot after return to form
BUCCS MEN The A team top the Premier Division 2 table with three games to go following a 4-2 win over Westbury United Banks.
Buccs rediscovered their pre- Christmas form to go into the break 3-0 up, their tally including a good finish from a tight angle by Paul De Freitas-Murray.

TeamBath Buccs Admirals beat City of Bath A (red) 6-0 at Kingswood School
They increased their lead after the interval, having missed a couple of open goals, but Jonny Mills' yellow card allowed Westbury to score two scrappy goals in reply.
Keeper Chris Day and centre back Chris Bannister stopped the visitors from adding to their score.
The Admirals enjoyed a straightforward 6-0 victory over City of Bath A at a damp Kingswood School.
Guy Tasker set the tone when he netted with an early short-corner strike. Sam Reeves added another minutes later before Tasker and Tom Irons made it 4-0 at half-time.
After the break, Buccs were able to enjoy the luxury of trying a few party tricks, before they scored another two goals through George Meagher and Tasker, who completed his treble with a fine chip.
The Vikings were in fine form as they drew 1-1 with Bristol UWE A.
A younger and fitter Bristol team took the lead thanks to a penalty flick after 15 minutes but captain Damian Barry's rocket shot from a short corner just before the break levelled matters.
The second half saw the Vikings weather persistent attacks from Bristol but excellent defending from Newman, Bartlett, Dowling, Hill and Nichol made sure of a well-earned point. Adam Cope was named man of the match.
Buccs Samurais triumphed 3-2 against Marlborough B.
Tom Menezes' first-half goal was cancelled out by Marlborough before the break. Jamie Ellis and Steve Clarke made it 3-1 before Marlborough pulled one back from a short corner.
The Blades made it a double for the club by beating table-topping Marlborough A by the same scoreline.
In their most impressive performance of the season so far, the G team showed class and determination and took the lead when Hayes finished from close range.
Plain then scored the goal of the match, gliding effortlessly into the D and dispatching a sweet shot into the right hand corner, and Bates Junior completed the scoring with a fierce strike following a penalty corner.
In the second half, Marlborough twice breached the Blades' defence to set up a tense final 10 minutes but found Ifill in imperious form.
Honours finished even in the clash between the Ancient Mariners and City of Bath B.
But while the Buccs side would have taken a 2-2 draw at the start of play, they were disappointed to have let the lead slip twice.
A superb flick by Crawford from Mariners' first short corner of the game put them ahead against the run of play but City were level at the break. Barron made it 2-1 from open play but a lack of concentration allowed City to equalise again and Buccs were left holding on for the draw.
Two first-half goals from leaders West Wilts C consigned Brigands to a 2-0 defeat.
Dyde's confrontation with the Wilts striker in the second half saw both yellow-carded and Buccs fought strongly throughout the second half. Strong runs from Stiles and Taylor and Dyke just failed to yield a goal and Sim Taylor was named man of the match.
