Britton: "Cup tie could help take City to a whole new level"
Ambitious Bath City chief Adie Britton admits tomorrow's FA Cup tie against Forest Green Rovers could prove a pivotal moment in his quest to restore the club to its former glories.
Britton is determined to make City a force in non-league football once again by leading them back to the Conference Premier.

Adie Britton is hoping to have more cause for celebration tomorrow
And he believes the excitement generated by this FA Cup run, plus the potential prize of a lucrative third- round draw against Premier League opposition, could provide a launching pad to bringing the good times back to Twerton Park.
"For the players and the fans, this game is all about the glory and rightly so," Britton said.
"But for me it is about moving the club forward, bringing in money and building its profile.
"I am well aware that we could make more progress as a club with this one game than in two or three years in the league.
"The build-up for me hasn't been terribly different in terms of preparation. Every Sunday morning I have a team sheet and report on the following week's opposition, then myself and Arch [Lee Howells] spend the rest of the week getting ready.
"Where it has been different is the number of calls I have had in the last few days. Normally I just have a nice chat with the Chronicle but I've had national newspapers and the BBC on the phone.
"It is more demanding on my time but it is important because we have got to raise the profile of this club, we have got to take this opportunity while we can.
"Hopefully people will see what we are trying to do and get down here to support us, then come back to watch some other games. We will not progress with crowds of 500 or 600, we need to get them up to 1,000 at least.
"I just hope we do ourselves justice and show people what a decent side we are."
City have played four games to reach this stage, including the celebrated win over Grimsby Town, and Britton is hoping to recreate the magic of that day by using the same routine this week.
"We had to stay overnight when we went to Grimsby and it worked to our advantage," he explained.
"There was a nice atmosphere amongst the squad and it helped them concentrate on the job in hand, rather than just turn up a couple of hours before the game.
"So we are getting together this evening and will be staying overnight in a hotel just out of town. It will give us a bit more time to focus and prepare.
"We are playing a team who are full-time and they will have three or four days where their sole focus will be on us. We do not have that much time, we just have a few hours to think about the match as a group, so getting together the night before will help."
However, the players will be hoping to avoid one ritual from the Grimsby game – a pre-match stroll.
"They love going for walks!" Britton joked. "All the lads have been asking is 'how many walks are we going on?' and 'how many meetings will we have?'.
"We went for a walk in Lincoln on the morning of the game and then when we got to Grimsby, I thought we would be at the ground too early so I told the coach driver to drop us off on Cleethorpes beach and meet us a mile down the road.
"The lads thought I was mad but it worked and I will do whatever works to get us through."
