Box Rock Circus gets boost from Wessex Water's Watermark conservation scheme
A stone circle of rocks, fossils and minerals is helping children to understand science and geology in Box.
And now the Box Rock Circus has been given a £200 cash boost from Wessex Water's Watermark conservation grant scheme.

Elizabeth Devon and Keith Dispain from Wessex Water.
The interactive educational attraction features two climbing blocks, one made up of sedimentary rocks with fossil and mineral specimens, the other including rocks that have cooled and crystallised from molten rock and those altered by immense heat and pressure.
The aim is to tell the story of the movement of the British Isles from south of the Equator to where the Mediterranean is today, and spokeswoman Elizabeth Devon said: "When children get their hands on these rocks, it helps their imagination take gigantic leaps into times past. Box Rock Circus turns abstract figures into something young minds can connect with."

“Rock ina Box! Kids today are so lucky to have such nice folk to help them or was it just the AH's that I had the misfortune to get landed with? It's great to see just what a bit of thought can achive! A few rock stuck in the ground and yet it tells the story there and then!
Well done and 'Keep on Rockin'!”
