PETANQUE A new Bath Thursday Boules League is being launched to cater for the growing number of people who want to play.

The success of the City of Bath Petanque Club on the national stage has led to more people getting involved with the sport.

The new league will run from the end of April through to July and will see two doubles games being followed by a triples and a singles.

Games will be played at 7pm at various locations around the city and pubs with a car park to play in are welcome to join.

Any group which does not have access to a piste will be able to use Queen Square or Alexandra Park as their home ground, thanks to the support of the B&NES parks department.

Teams of three or four who would like to take part can call Don Grimes on 01225 429146 or email don@ beprepared.co.uk.
