Boomsbury complete rapid Trowbridge League double over Freshford United
Steve Jackson proved the scourge of Freshford United for the second Saturday in succession as Boomsbury opened up a ten-point lead at the top of the Trowbridge Windows & Conservatories Trowbridge League Division 1 table.
Boomsbury followed up their 4-3 home win over the same opponents with a 4-1 victory at Freshford, with Jackson bagging a hat-trick on both occasions.

Scott Askew’s stunning volley completed the leaders’ tally, with Ryan Mortimer lobbing home Freshford’s reply.
Defeats elsewhere for fellow title-chasers Melksham Town and Westbury United Reserves – to Seend United and Castle Combe respectively – completed a good day for Freshford.

Combe sprung a real surprise as their 2-1 away success over Westbury boosted their survival hopes.
