Beechen Cliff rugby team make history by winning South West State Schools Championship

The Beechen Cliff Year 9 rugby team continued their unbeaten season as they were crowned South West State School champions in Taunton.

In the process, Beechen Cliff – representing Somerset – became the first Bath school to win the competition.

They qualified by winning the Somerset County Cup and then beat their rivals from Cornwall, Gloucestershire and Devon 27-0, 17-0 and 12-5 respectively to become overall champions.
