Battle of the pizza deliveries
Pizza Hut is preparing to open its first takeaway delivery service in Bath – just down the road from incoming American chain Papa John's.
The new delivery outlet in Lower Bristol Road is due to open this month and will complement the Pizza Hut restaurant in Westgate Buildings.
A spokesman for the firm said it was part of a nationwide move to expand that aspect of the business, and would create around 20 jobs.
He added: "We're delighted to confirm that we will be opening a new Pizza Hut Delivery outlet and we look forward to serving our delicious pizza to residents soon."

The new takeaway comes hot on the heels of a similar business venture in the same street, American pizza chain Papa John's, which opened last week.
It means that competition for the pizza delivery market will be tough as thousands of students make their way back to Bath for the start of the new university term.
In the past Domino's, in London Road, has dominated the market.
