Bath veteran runner looks forward marathon challenge
At the age of 52, Colin Hale is getting ready for his 28th Bath Half Marathon.
Mr Hale, who lives in Larkhall, has set himself a challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by running the Bath Half on March 3, the London Marathon, the Bristol Half Marathon, and the Bristol 10k.
The painter and decorator, who took up running at the age of 25, has 30 half marathons under his belt, including 27 Bath races.
Mr Hale said: "I am feeling good about the runs I have coming up this year. I am looking forward to the challenge.

"I want to raise as much money for Macmillan as possible. They are so supportive and have helped a few of my friends."
This year will be the first time that Mr Hale has run a full marathon, and he will be taking part in the London race on April 21 – his 53rd birthday.
He said training was going well: "I have been out and about most nights, and I try to run 10k each time.
"I am running up a lot of hills, and at weekends try to do a longer run."
Mr Hale also stages bucket collections in Green Park Station every Sunday.
