Bath solicitors have raised more than £2,000 for charity by not charging for writing wills.

Queen Square based Burningham and Brown recently took part in Will Aid.

The scheme allows people the opportunity to make or update their will in return for a donation to help people in need.

The money raised by Will Aid is then shared between a selection of charities including ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire.

Sarah Loveless, partner at the firm, said: "We had a very busy and successful campaign and wrote many wills for local people, giving their families the security of a properly drafted Will as well as the opportunity to support popular charities.

"We would like to thank those who took part and donated so generously."
