Bath's prized blood donors who have given hundreds of times
Blood donors from Bath were recognised for their commitment at an awards ceremony.
Richard Read, Maureen Byrne, Lynn-Sarah Green, and Stephen Blake have each given blood 75 times, and their achievement was rewarded at the ceremony at the Webbington Hotel in Somerset.

Only three per cent of blood donors reach 75 donations.
Mrs Green said: "I was 18 when I first gave blood and was excited and nervous at the same time. I always find that the nurses are really friendly and caring.

Anyone wanting to donate for the first time should be aged between 17-65, weigh at least 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health.
If you have donated before, you can start again up to your 70th birthday and there is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years.
