My Bath: I just love our wonderful architecture
TV presenter Charlie Vernon answers the questions in our My Bath feature
What's your favourite part of Bath?
-

TV presenter Charlie Vernon is a big fan of the Royal Crescent and The Circus PICTURE: Lloyd Ellington
My favourite part of Bath is the architecture. The Circus, the Royal Crescent, Great Pulteney Street, all the old fashioned cobbled streets. I love it.

For me it's got to be Martini's. You always get such a warm welcome from Franco, Nunzio and all the staff, and the food is really excellent. There is always a buzzing atmosphere, and if you want great Italian food, this is the place to go.
What's the best view in the city?
There are so many amazing views in Bath, it's really hard to choose just one. But one of my favourite views is when walking through Victoria Park, and seeing the Royal Crescent. Nothing beats it, and it always makes me think how lucky I am to live somewhere as stunning as Bath.
What would your perfect day in Bath entail?
My perfect day in Bath would be waking up to a gorgeous hot sunny day. I would probably start the day by going to the gym for a workout with my boyfriend, personal trainer Lee Allen. I would then catch up with some of my friends for a coffee in town and leisurely take the day as it comes, sitting in Victoria Park or Queen Square enjoying the sunshine. I would then meet my mum for a glass of wine when she finishes work. And then I would like to end the day with a barbecue with friends and family.
Where would you meet friends for a drink?
It depends on the occasion, but I often meet my mum for a drink in the Crystal Palace – we love sitting in the beer garden there. I also go to All Bar One and Circo sometimes. Circo does a great cocktail.
What's your favourite shop?
I love shopping up the top of town, I love the buzz of Milsom Street and I am partial to a sneaky peek in Warehouse.
What one thing about Bath would you change?
I wouldn't change a lot to be honest, but I do think it would be nice to see more local businesses in Bath being run by people who live in Bath. I think it's really important to support small local businesses.

“"I do think it would be nice to see more local businesses in Bath being run by people who live in Bath."
A bit hypocritical seeing she works for a TV shopping channel.”
