The Cheltenham site was converted from a former tax office and was famous for incorporating Mr Fry’s love of “formica, fleece and fur”.
The lengthy conversion work was filmed for TV’s Risky Business, making television stars of society couple Cosmo Fry and his wife Lulu Anderson.
Cosmo designed the furniture, fixtures and fittings for the minimalist concept through his Counter Tops business and has long been a devotee of formica.
Yesterday he said he was sad to sell it and hoped vendors realised there was “mileage left in the Big Sleep brand”.
