She says that babies and toddlers have a greater capacity for tuning into foreign language sounds than older children.
She says research has shown this is the best time to learn as young children can be more relaxed about the process and better at imitating sounds and pronunciation.
"Learning Spanish comes so easy to young children. They have a keen ear and are very receptive. At this very young age, the strategies and language learning skills, which they use for developing their own language, are very active.
"Sessions such as these are the perfect opportunity to promote and encourage the importance of language learning at an early age and a great way to start new initiatives and to boost the children's language capability."
The free session is from 2pm to 3pm at the Gateway Centre off London Road.
