Bath babies get chance to learn Spanish with La Jolie Ronde Languages for Children
Babies in the Bath area are being introduced to Spanish at new fun classes in the city.
A free session next Tuesday will give an insight into the classes run by La Jolie Ronde Languages for Children.
It will combine games, stories, songs and activities and aim to boost children's interest in another language and culture, with cuddly teddy bear Caramello playing a part.
The sessions will be delivered by fluent Spanish speaker Katherine Mallia and are aimed at children from baby age to three years old.

She says that babies and toddlers have a greater capacity for tuning into foreign language sounds than older children.
She says research has shown this is the best time to learn as young children can be more relaxed about the process and better at imitating sounds and pronunciation.
"Learning Spanish comes so easy to young children. They have a keen ear and are very receptive. At this very young age, the strategies and language learning skills, which they use for developing their own language, are very active.
"Sessions such as these are the perfect opportunity to promote and encourage the importance of language learning at an early age and a great way to start new initiatives and to boost the children's language capability."
The free session is from 2pm to 3pm at the Gateway Centre off London Road.
