Bath Spa University student found dead is named
A Bath Spa University student who was found dead in his halls of residence has been named as Adam Blissett.
The 18-year-old, who was in his first year of a business and management course, was discovered at Sydney Court, at the Newton Park campus at 6.10pm on Wednesday.
Police have said they are not treating his death as suspicious and the cause of death is not yet known.
In an email to students, the university’s vice chancellor Professor Christina Slade paid tribute to Mr Blissett and said support was on offer for anyone affected by his death.

She said: “The university will be holding a moment of silence for Adam on Monday at 12 noon. Please pause for a moment at noon to remember Adam and to reflect on his sad loss. If you wish to join together with fellow staff and students for this, please meet in the Italian Garden at 11.55 on Monday morning.
“Please also remember that all staff at the university, including colleagues in the student services team, will be on hand to offer any support and help you find you need in the coming days and weeks.
“I know that all our sympathy and sincere condolences are with Adam’s family at this terribly sad time.”
A statement from the university said: “Everyone at Bath Spa University is deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely death of first year student Adam Blissett.
“Adam was a popular student and will be greatly missed by his many friends, tutors and others who knew him during his time here at Bath Spa.
“Our heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences are with Adam’s family at this sad and difficult time.”
