Bath Rugby's Stephen Donald presents Cherokee Cup to Bradford on Avon RFC

Bath Rugby fly-half Stephen Donald was on hand to present the trophy after Bradford on Avon RFC’s under-11s won the Cherokees Cup at the Chippenham Mini Rugby Festival for the third year running.

Sunday’s success was the perfect lift for the talented young team after they were beaten in the Wiltshire Cup by just a solitary try two weeks earlier.

Bradford began with an impressive win against Trowbridge and then saw off Devizes and Marlborough before drawing with hosts Chippenham. A decisive victory against Salisbury sealed the silverware.

The youngsters will take on sport of a different kind this Sunday as they stage an inter-squad biathlon challenge to raise funds for their visit to Exeter Chief’s Super Saturday next month.
