Bath and North East Somerset Council shows the way to go
Council bosses have been leading by example in a campaign to get more apprentices into the workplace.
Bath and North East Somerset Council has been celebrating the achievements of its 27 apprentices who work across the authority in departments including visitor services, vehicle mechanics, youth services and recycling.
The council's chief executive, Jo Farrar, spent time with the apprentices as part of National Apprenticeship Week, and said: "It's great to hear so many wonderful stories of how B&NES Council's apprenticeship scheme is helping to turn around the lives of people looking for a job and supporting them to progress in their career aspirations."
