Bath Motor Club are best in the South West for third year running

MOTORSPORT Bath Motor Club took home the coveted silver salver once more after winning the Association of South Western Motor Clubs' championship for a third year running.

Chairman Dave Whittock said: "It is all down to the dedication of our members and the results they get when competing – it seals the pride of a successful club.

"It was the icing on the cake as we are also celebrating the club's 50th anniversary this year."

Awards were also presented to winners from Bath competing in Autotest, Navigational Rally and Sprint championships.

Ross Whittock collected the best under-21 and best all-rounder trophies for a second successive year, as well as the Blanchford Trophy for top navigator in the Novice Navigational Rally Championship.

Whittock also picked up an award for finishing seventh overall in the Bridge Tyres Sprint Championship, in which he drives the OS-built Mini.
