Don Foster
His boss will be Conservative Communities Secretary Eric Pickles, who on an election campaign visit to the city in 2010 mistakenly insisted that Mr Foster was retiring from politics.

“Don having just been reading about assisted dying, I hope that you will consider the position seriously before you agree with the rest of the Ministers. I think sometimes I do not understand where society is going. I do believe that you will agree on this too.”

“Has anyone mentioned that the treacherous Don betrayed our liberal-centrist votes in order to asset-strip the greatest public institution ever known for the benefit of a few rich capitalists?
Oh yes, everyone. Just checking. As you were.”

“Totally agree with you Viscount, much as I despise the Tories, you only had to look at Dave and his crew of chinless wonders to know what you would get. The Lib Dems offered an alternative, then sold their souls to the Devil. I hope the traitorous vermin get no seats next time, it's exactly what they deserve.”

“The red arrows are very random today Castro! We must hope that a protest vote locally will see the back of any Lib Dem MP for our region. If "Bath" continues to "buck national trends" and votes in the spineless tactical way and not with their conscience (that should read "Bath remains in the Dark Ages"), then we will have the one remaining Lib Dem MP in the entire country and look like utter fools.
There's no doubt there will be a Labour government in 2015 if not before, the next Lib Dem MP best forget about the opportunist ermine sniffing as displayed by NHS destroyer Foster. We will have a left wing Labour government as opposed to the right wing Thatcherite one that Blair imposed on us that Tories have the gall to complain about.
Vote with your conscience. Tactical voting is dead. Vote Lib Dem get a Tory.. Simple really.”

“Well, let's face it, Dodgy Don has consistently been one of the top claimants for all the expenses & 'allowances' going so why should we be surprised that he's landed a very nice pension boost in [hopefully] his last term in office?
The guy is a toad, through & through, and he'll likely 'dump' on more people in his new role, as he did to his constituents immediately following the election. He has no scruples whatsoever & has done little for Bath over the years, so let's just hope for an early election!”

“We all know he isn't standing in the next election, and so he needs this pension boost PDQ.”

“Will Bath and North East Somerset people ever learn and try something different as The Tories and the Lib Dems have not made a good impact at all. Yet for some reason people still vote for them, are they glutton's for punishment?, apart from a few of us that do think differently out of the box as the saying goes and believe there is a good alternative which is truly for the people. I see the total of green arrows has suddenly de-creased but they have not made their comments known. Are they wary of making their views known nor was it Don himself?”

“Well said V_V...Thirded!
The Lib-Dems will undoubtedly take a kicking at the next election and I personally hope this Toady Lickspittle loses his seat....as the Tories are so unpopular and I would like to see, but can't see Bath voting Labour...are we destined to have him as our MP yet again or will we see the return of a Tory?
I hope the Cabinet meeting room isn't carpeted with as soft a ****pile as his knees are used to....him and his fellow Lib Dem cabinet members deserve all the carpet burns they get.....I'm of course referring to the grovelling...nothing more....
With Eric Pickles as his boss, at least the lunches will be 'sufficient'”
