A seven-year-old Bath girl has been left devastated after her idol Justin Bieber was almost two hours late for his concert.

Huge Justin Bieber fan Kaci James, from Foxhill, had been looking forward to going to her first concert for months.

But the star kept his fans waiting at London's 02 Arena last night and Kaci was only able to see two songs before she had to leave to catch the last train home.

Bieber had been due on stage at 8:30pm but did not appear until 10.20pm, leaving his young audience to listen to Michael Jackson songs on repeat after the warm up acts had completed their sets.

Many youngsters were in tears, with others so tired they had to be taken home before Bieber appeared on stage.

Kaci, a pupil at St Phillips School, was excited to be going to the concert with her mother Izzy Stevenson.

But she was left her in tears and tired at school the next day and has now declared she is no longer a Bieber fan and will be supporting One Direction instead.

The youngsters grandmother Jac Oakes, who runs Combe Down News, is disgusted with the star, and said his actions were selfish and unacceptable.

She said: “Kaci was so excited about going to the concert and had been looking forward to it for months.

“She has been left devastated by what happened and told me that she is no longer a Justin Bieber fan.

“It was her first concert and her dreams have been blown apart.

“There was no apology when he finally did arrive on stage and I think his whole attitude is disgusting.

“There are a lot of upset children and he needs to be held accountable.”

While young fans were kept waiting, parents arrived at the venue expecting to pick up their children.

Fans tweeting from inside the O2 said there were boos from some in the crowd almost an hour before he emerged.

No one connected to the show has commented, but the venue apologised for the late start via its Twitter feed saying: “Justin Bieber is now on stage and apologises for the lateness of his show.”

This morning it tweeted that it will be “exploring all available options to ensure this doesn't happen again”.

“I find it outrageous that a parent would take a 7 year old to a concert in London when she has school the next day! A child of that age should be tucked up in bed by 8.30, not waiting to watch a concert, unless it's the holidays or a weekend night. As for complaining her daughter was tired at school the next day - don't take her to a concert in London then!”

“I could have read the article wrong in that Kaci (presume pronounced KC - like it) may have been waiting for months for her first concert, rather than going to another concert some months ago. If so, apologies to Kaci.”

“I forget the lame excuse offered for Bieber being late (it was yesterday after all!), but his support team knew what time the set had to be ready. A proper explanation should be given and either people's money returned or an alternative concert offered - no doubt by anyone other than Bieber. He may have the publicity but he has done himself no favours here.

"Huge Justin Bieber fan Kaci James, from Foxhill, had been looking forward to going to her first concert for months." She is seven years old. What was her last concert?
Later "She is no longer a Justin Bieber fan. It was her first concert and her dreams have been blown apart."
Very fickle for a huge fan. And was it her first concert or not?”

“Well, I've no idea who this singer is. In my day it was the Beatles, but I would imagine ticket holders would be in line for compensation?”

“I wonder how much the rail trip and O2 tickets cost? Clearly a parent NOT faced with any dilemma on what to spend their income!”

“Was it really the 7 year old Kaci who was devastated and not the mother?
And what about missing school or was this classed as an "educational" experience?
