Bath Judo Club youngsters belt up at final grading of the year
More than 75 youngsters were promoted when the British Judo Society's last grading of 2012 was held at Larkhall.
Bath Judo Centre has pre- junior grades for beginners and William Cave, Kristel Langkilde, Kat Jenkins, Louisa Jenkins, Jacob Kemble-Smith, Sam Penny and Henry Rees were all promoted to the purple and white belt.

Others earning promotions were purple belts Ashley French, William Gatehouse, Sam James, Isabella Jenkins, Vallen Oliver and Ruben Zukas, red belts George Cave, Joshua Clayton, Isaac Fee, Bruno Foulstone, Orlando Glendenning, Gregor Hesketh, Jamie McGregor and Lauri Mills, yellow belts Alaa Al-Rawi, Arthur Foulstone, Louise Moore, Jack Mousley, Matthew Pearce and Hannah Reeves, orange belt Remy Mills, green belt Sam Whitmore and blue belt Ben Hansard.
In the older junior section, the Foster brothers, Archie and Ethan, produced many good competitive techniques to reach higher grades, while the Hansard twins, Ben and Joe, excelled in competition and technical theory to also advance.

The intermediate juniors saw a sparkling display of competitive judo from Matthew Hooper and club- mate Remy Mills.
Senior coaches Peter Thatcher, Margaret Thatcher and Andy Knapp were extremely pleased with the results attained by their students.
Bath Judo Club has classes to suit children and adults of all abilities, from the complete beginner to the advanced player, and specialises in self- defence lessons. Classes are held at Bath Judo Centre, Larkhall, on Monday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
