The Bath Half Marathon is now three weeks away, and Liz Yelling, from the race's official online training support partner Yelling Performance, has some tips for the final training stretch.

1. The training you have done over the previous weeks and months will be enough to get you round on March 3. Don't try to make up for any lost time or worry you haven't done enough by doing more in the next three weeks.

2. Complete your final long run next weekend. How long this is depends on your fitness, motivation and aspirations. Anything between eight miles and 12 miles is fine. Practise your half marathon pace for three miles, starting at a pace that feels controlled. Get in the habit of starting your runs adequately hydrated.

3. If you're fundraising for a charity then give your sponsorship requests a strong nudge. Let them know you're on track and going to do it.

4. Finally, don't panic. As the race draws closer many runners start to worry, especially if training hasn't gone totally to plan. Stay on track, keep running regularly and make the start line. Run regularly and consistently and boost your confidence as the race draws closer.

“Thanks for this. I keep feeling like I haven't done enough. I'm sure I will make it round on the day but keep panicing that I should be doing more or further. I'm looking forward to the race as it will be my 1st half marathon.”

“Good advice, I think I over-trained in January, I am now taking it easy for February and resting my aching muscles. One 10 mile run this weekend and other one the following weekend, with a few 2 milers thrown in and thats me done. Good luck to everyone taking part, its a fantastic race. Great atmosphere.”
