Bath City coach Lee Howells looking for consistency
Head coach Lee Howells admits he has no idea which Bath City team will turn up when they entertain in-form Basingstoke Town tomorrow (3pm).
Having followed back-to-back 3-0 wins over Tonbridge Angels and Eastbourne Borough with one point from the next four games, Howells saw his players impress against high-flying Chelmsford City and Welling United this week.

And he admitted: “Who knows what we’ll do against Basingstoke?
“Consistency has been our problem all season. We’ve got some good young lads in the dressing room, though, and a lot of them hadn’t played in this league before but they’re getting there.

“If you’ve had a few promotions and a relegation in a short amount of time, you will have a turnover of players but when you’re not going anywhere for three or four years, you can build a team like Weston and Chelmsford have.
“We’ve had to move on a lot quicker than them over the years and we are suffering a bit now.
“Fair play to the boys, though, it was a really dogged performance against Welling on Tuesday. It was a good result because the three points take us closer to where we want to get, which is away from the relegation zone.”
