A seven figure investment could see a regional baker open its first Bath outlet.

Parsons Bakery has secured £1.7 million financing through Santander and received backing from MTLS Ventures.

The company will use the money to open a further 36 stores in the next three years.

Managing director of Parsons Bakery, Nick Parsons, said: "We are considering all areas within a two-hour drive of Bristol and hence Bath is a target town."
