Backing for leading gymnast
Bath-based Wellsway BMW & MINI is supporting for locally based rhythmic gymnast, Francesca Fox, in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. Trowbridge-based Francesca Fox is part of the GB Rhythmic Gymnastics Group who train locally at the University of Bath and are making history as the first GB group ever to compete in the Olympic Games. . She has held numerous GB titles including being British Champion through from junior to senior and has attended domestic and International competitions worldwide, including European, Worlds and Commonwealth Games, where she won a bronze team medal for England. The sponsorship deal is to assist her and the British Rhythmic Gymnastics Group in meeting transportation needs for training, competitions, displays and events. Wellsway Bath presented Francesca Fox, who amazed onlookers with a quick demonstration, with a new MINI One Countryman on the same week as her 20th Birthday.
Francesca said: "It's been a tough journey to qualify for an Olympics place and it's a big help knowing that they are behind us. It's also fantastic having a brand new MINI One Countryman from now until the end of the year, I absolutely love it. I travel daily from Trowbridge to Bath picking up my teammates on the way and it's fantastic to know I have a modern, reliable car as we travel to competitions and promotional events, so it's great being able to arrive there in style, with the confidence that my car won't break down on the way."
