It has been all change at Bath Racecourse this month.

We recently bid farewell to general manager and regular Chronicle columnist Jo Hall as she starts her maternity leave.

We look forward to welcoming Jo back at the end of the year but I have taken over her role in the meantime and will be overseeing all activities at the racecourse this season.

Previously Clerk of the Course for several years, it is an exciting time to be stepping into the shoes as general manager as we race towards another busy season.

The 2013 campaign is indeed set to be another corker, with just over three months to go until our Season Opening Racenight on Friday, April 19 – have you got your tickets yet?

If you’re a frequent racegoer at Bath, why not consider becoming an annual badge holder? They start from £180 and are great for those avid racing fans who never want to miss a fixture.

Our annual badges offer excellent value for money, as well as premier entry to all of the fixtures at Lansdown and the opportunity to attend more than 60 reciprocal fixtures across the country.

The new year has already seen some exciting racing action and there is plenty more to come, with the Cheltenham Festival fast approaching.

Sadly, on Monday we heard the terrible news about the fatal fall for Darlan at Doncaster Racecourse. Our thoughts go out to all Darlan’s connections and jump racing fans, as it was an incredibly sad day.

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for all the latest news at Bath – @bathracecourse – or visit www.bath-racecourse.co.uk for more information on becoming an annual badge holder.
