RUGBY A group of pupils from The Paragon had the chance to watch world champions New Zealand at close quarters last week.

Youngsters in Years 5 and 6 met up with current All Blacks heroes Dan Carter and Ma'a Nonu, together with Kiwi legend Bryan Williams, at a private training session in Cardiff ahead of the team's victory over Wales on Sunday.

The trip was organised by The Paragon's New Zealand-born director of sport Toby Goodman and students were impressed by the ultra quick-passing and various skill exercises on show – as well as how tall the players are in real life.

Goodman hopes the trip will inspire the youngsters.
