Avonvale beat Swindon in feisty under-15s friendly
AVONVALE The under-15s saw off a combative Swindon team in a 37-0 friendly success.
Keenan's early try set the ball rolling and Sam added two more to establish the pattern of the game.
Vale's forwards and backs shared the points and Matteo scored after a powerful drive.
Swindon were again stretched after the break and Theo beat four men to score under the posts before Nathan converted. Sam and Keenan completed the scoring in a bad-tempered affair.

The under-13s needed to be at the top of their game to win 15-0 at local rivals Corsham.
With Harry solid at number eight and speedy wings James and Scott providing attacking options, Toby B's try gave Vale a slender half-time advantage.
Full-back Will dealt with Corsham's kicking game well after the break as Scott and Keiron touched down to seal victory in a great contest.
Vale under-12s were made to pay for a sleepy performance in the opening quarter against Walcot, who out-rucked their hosts to score four simple tries.
The next two quarters saw no score as Vale began to contend for the ball but a tiring home squad allowed Walcot's strong side to pinch a final try in the last minute.
Vale did come out on top on aggregate, despite making a slow start to the under-10s contest between the sides.
Scrum-half Thomas touched down for Vale in an opening match that ended 2-1 in Walcot's favour and scored again as the hosts won an exciting second game 1-0.
Walcot began to tire and Vale won the third game 3-0. Dom bagged a well-deserved try before Tom R touched down.
Man of the match Thomas continued his outstanding form to round off the win, running all the way in from Vale's five- metre line.
The honours were shared in the under-9s fixture as Vale came up against Walcot's A and B teams.
Walcot A won the first match 8-6 thanks to some excellent defence. Callum, Sam and Laurie scored good individual tries for Vale.
Vale edged the second game 8-7, with both teams playing great attacking rugby. The home try scorers were Callum, Sam, Oliver, Ben, Laurie and man of the match Ollie.
The under-7s and 8s' coaches were pleased to see significant improvement in attack and defence in their teams' respective matches with Walcot.
Vale's younger age group mixed with Walcot's players due to a lack of players, while the under-8s held their own in two close matches.
