“Thanks Greenguru. As we have not received a single item of literature on this subject and the above is the only article I have seen on the local police commissioner elections, your comments are very helpful! It is just such a shame that those people who will be appointed have made such little effort to win our votes. I have no idea who any of the candidates are, what they represent, what their intentions are or what their credentials are. How am I supposed to make a sensible decision tomorrow with so little information? This is a shambolic waste of time. Why is the government meddling in this - there are so many other things which are so much more important than changing a system which seems to have been working for a number of years.
Cameron - you are a modern day Nero: fiddling while the country burns.”

“Sue Mountstevens gets my vote. The rest are senior party figures out for themselves and their dogmatic party lines, no doubt hoping to finish their careers with lots of long lunches discussing the intracacies of the preparation of steak diane,
    Vote for Sue”
