Arsenal make opening-day point
BATH ARSENAL Newly- promoted Bath Arsenal under-14s started their season with a 1-1 draw away to Melksham United.
After a goalless first half, the game opened up after the break and Tom H, Angus and Arthur all went close for Arsenal before the deadlock was broken when Arthur made a good run to the byline and his cross was finished off by Callum.
Melksham equalised with a lobbed finish from 20 yards and the home keeper then made a fine double save to prevent Tom H and Seb putting Arsenal back in front.
Both sides produced some excellent passing moves on a big pitch at Bowmans Court and centre-back Oscar and midfielder Arthur had particularly good games for the visitors.
