Anya Shrubsole claimed a wicket as England defeated hosts India by 32 runs to record their first win of the ICC Women's World Cup in Mumbai.

The Bath pace ace sat out the holders’ surprise one-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka on Friday but joined forces with Katherine Brunt to reduce India to 29-3 in reply to 29-3 in reply to England’s 272-8.

Earlier, captain Charlotte Edwards hit a superb 109 to become the highest run-scorer in women’s one-day internationals.
