Bearded lizards, giant bunnies and stick insects are just some of the creatures to have visited a Bath school.

Pupils at St Saviour's Infant School are able to meet and care for a variety of creatures at its animal club.

Julie James, who runs animal outreach centre The Park in Knowle in Bristol, brings along a variety of animals to live in the classroom.

Every Thursday after school, children are taught how to look after the creatures, and get to meet a mystery animal.

Year Two teacher Sara James said: "The club is really valuable, as it teaches children to be responsible for a pet before they are allowed to have their own at home. The children really enjoy meeting and holding all the creatures. The club is so popular that we have a waiting list, as only 12 children can attend a term."
