Ailis Egan closing in on Six Nations Grand Slam with Ireland
Former Bath schoolgirl Ailis Egan is aiming to win the Six Nations Grand Slam with Ireland Women this weekend.
The 29-year-old – who attended St John’s Primary, St Gregory’s and Beechen Cliff – scored a try in last Friday’s 15-10 victory over France, which ensured Ireland cannot be caught at the top of the table.
They will complete the Grand Slam if they beat Italy this weekend.
Prop Egan, who studied a Masters at the University of Bath, currently lives in Dublin, where she did her original degree, but often returns to Bath to see family and friends.
