Bath Chronicle

Last Sunday we remembered with pride and sorrow those who gave their lives in the service of their country. Next Sunday November 18 we remember with anguish and sorrow those whose lives were cut short or irrevocably altered by no such lofty ideals; preventable, needlessly through contact with the latest killing machine – the motorised vehicle.

On this day designated by the United Nations, World Health Organisation as the World Day of Remembrance for all Road Traffic victims, we are holding the South West ceremony in the Guildhall, Bath at 11am. In Bath itself the recent deaths of two young women bring home to us all how vulnerable we all are and especially the newly qualified, young drivers. We shall process to the memorial in St James Gardens to lay flowers in remembrance of all lives lost and broken in the South West.

Contact me at RoadPeace South West 01275 399025. Email green123262@btinternet.com for further details or to have names included in the ceremony.
