People have the opportunity to respond to Bath & North East Somerset Council's proposal to introduce a 20 mph signs only limit to many roads in Keynsham.

This stage follows the initial consultation which was in favour of the 20 mph restriction. The formal consultation runs until Thursday 28th March 2013 – a decision will be made following the consultation.

Councillor Roger Symonds (Lib-Dem, Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Transport, said, "The Council wants to improve road safety on streets across the area, including Keynsham. Part of our plans includes introducing 20 mph limits in communities that want them. We have made some changes to the Keynsham proposals since the last consultation. I hope that people take this opportunity to have their say."

The additional roads to have been included in the proposal following the initial consultation are, Charlton Road extending from the High Street to Park Close junction, Bath Road extending from Bath Hill to Chandag Road junction, Wellsway extending from Bath Hill to 70 metres north of its junction with Chewton Road, and Avon Mill Lane.
