Around 100 people at meeting
Through your letters' page I'd like to thank the many residents who came along to Beacon Hall, Peasedown St John, on September 18 to hear Pegasus Planning Consultants' outline proposals to build 94 more homes in our village on the edge of Greenlands Road.
The meeting was well attended with more than 100 people coming along to hear what the proposals are – and to ask a variety of questions.
Many of the concerns raised included access to the new homes from Greenlands Road and Bath Road, the affect extra children will have on space at the local primary school, the impact it will have on our roads and their infrastructure, and how sustainable the development will be.
At present the plans are in their initial stages and no planning application has been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council.

If a planning application is submitted it will be the start of a long process to include public consultation and public meetings.
We shall be working with both Pegasus and Bath and North East Somerset Council to ensure that all residents are fully consulted.
We were informed by Pegasus at the meeting, who are acting on behalf of Edward Ware Homes, that they will decide in October as to whether they will submit an application.
If they do it will be submitted next February, with a likely decision to be made by Bath and North East Somerset Council next spring.
Edward Ware also told the meeting that if a decision is made not to make an application he will inform the public to alleviate fears than many residents have.
As your parish councillors, we shall be listening to the views of local people.
If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact the Parish Office on 01761 433686/ firstname.lastname@example.org, or me directly 01761 email@example.com.
